Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Movie Review
The time it took for the release of the fourth movie after seeing POA seemed an eternity for most of us. I must say I was not disappointed. Understanding how difficult it must be to bring to life so many Hogwarts students, Wizards, Dragons, and a Slytherin such as Lord Voldemort himself, we are sympathetic to the need to omit many scenes from the films. There has been much sharing of opinion about the handling of the POA and now we have all watched GOF with three under our belts and a huge desire to see and experience another year in the life of Harry Potter.
There is no way to tell you how my curiosity was piqued by the trailer or how anxious I was to see the ship Krum and his classmates would arrive in. How were they going to portray Fleur with her intoxicating aura, or the Merpeople under the water? I was not disappointed. Once again I forgot I was in a theatre watching a movie; after all, I know these people and have attended a few years at Hogwarts with some of them. This was my portal to the Ball, my hearing of the Egg's secret, my awe at the sight of the dragons. I really feel like I need to watch this at least two more times in order to write a better review. There is no doubt that so much went unnoticed in my anticipation of my favorite scenes. Awaiting the day the movie is released on DVD, I can only say that I walked away feeling quite pleased to have seen my friends and shared a few moments of their lives with them yet again.
As we all look forward to another installment of HP I will be watching, over and over, the GOF and will work on a more thorough review after another sitting. I hope you are looking forward to it too.
