Harry Potter Prisoner of Azkaban Summary

Twelve years ago, when Harry Potter’s arch-nemesis Lord Voldemort was defeated, a man by the name of Sirius Black was placed in Azkaban for the murder of thirteen people with a single curse. But now he has escaped, something that has never been heard of before, and the Ministry of Magic has reason to believe he is headed straight for Hogwarts. While he was still in Azkaban the guards heard Black murmuring in his sleep: “He’s at Hogwarts…he’s at Hogwarts…”

But is there a connection between our young hero and this horrible mass murderer?

Harry is beginning his third year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and is in danger from the start. Even within the surrounding walls of the school and the presence of Dumbledore, the Headmaster, Harry is unsafe for there may well be a traitor amongst them. This year, like the others, was going to be a rough one; not only for the famous Harry Potter, but also for those close to him.
